Wine Country

North America is a large continent with over nine million square miles of land. On this land, there are mountains, plains, rivers, animals, people, and many other living organisms. The continent is divided into fifty states. Some are cold, some warm, some flat, some mountainous; it depends on where you are. In this post, I will draw your attention to one specific state, the state of California, and will particularly focus on the wine country.
California, for the most part, is a hilly state. It depends on where you go, but it is famous for its beautiful coast with large hills rising all around. As you begin to drive into the hills you will start to notice vineyard. The beautiful landscapes on which the vineyards grow stretch out for miles, and every single one has a house nearby. Almost all of the buildings you see will offer wine tasting sessions.

The wine is made from the grapes that those people grow on their land, and the taste is unique to every house. If you like the wine they have to make, you can ask to order a certain amount of bottles a month. Every month you would receive a package with how ever many bottles you ordered for a year.

Spring Break Fun!

Spring break is a national American holiday. Typically, a week long, this holiday occurs in either March or April. It is the last long vacation before summer, and everyone is excited when it comes around. Due to the time of year, when people think of spring break they picture warm sunny days outside. During this holiday, families often take short trips to places they have never been before.

A popular spring destination is Los Angeles, California. There are many tourist activities spread across the city, but a particularly famous one is Universal Studios. People travel from all over the world to the city just to see the famous amusement park.  There are many rides that are designed around world renowned movies. Although the rides are known to attract people, the studio tours are also responsible for drawing people to the park. On the studio tour, everyone sits on a tram that takes you around frequently used movie sets. As you ride there is a guide at the front of the tram sharing interesting facts about the sets. The most common type of sets used are practical sets. Practical sets are physical sets that you can use for many different things. Some of the sets that are regularly used are streets of New York, London, and Paris.

When directors film a movie that contains complex concepts or figures, such as the gorilla King Kong, they use a computer-generated images or green screens. Towards the end of the studio tour, the tram goes into a dark trailer. Inside the trailer are computer generated images of the characters from Fast and Furious 7. The guide tells us that a dangerous killer is on the loose, and then, suddenly, they jump into their cars and speed down a highway. The film scenario was projected on the walls, and the tram jostled about so that it felt as if you were actually inside the movie.

Universal Studios is known worldwide for its amazing shows, tours, and rides. The park holds something for everyone, for the excitement of the place never dies down. I think that everyone should go at some point in their life and experience the positive energy of Hollywood's best movies.
